Well, after "The Stage", its been a while with no news about the next chapter of the band. Synyster is a impressive and creative player, so i was wondering what comes next? Heavy Stuff? Metalcore? Hard Rock? Any clues?

JOIN THE DISCORD VIEW THREADJudging by what brooks said drums were laid down and never were rerecorded so my guess is the base of the songs remained in tact but they chose to re record other parts. But then again the news I've heard from the members seems to change depending on who you talk to.When Syn talked about it in mid-2019, he said it was progressive like the Stage, but the songs were "more compact" - not 8-10 minutes long. However, it's entirely possible all of that work was scrapped or reworked, since he felt it was close to complete back then.
So, all bets are off, and NONE of them are talking about it except for Shads saying we should expect the album to drop before the festival dates in late spring 2022, and they're waiting for distance restrictions to be eased in California so they can record an orchestra properly.
I watched a live video on Instagram a few weeks back and Brooks said then that his drum parts were all doneJudging by what brooks said drums were laid down and never were rerecorded so my guess is the base of the songs remained in tact but they chose to re record other parts. Yeah that live video he said they were done ages ago and all they were waiting on was matt to finish up some songs. So my guess is they redid a bunch of stuff (tone matching probably a big reason why.. try remaking a tone 4 months later in the same room.. not always an easy task).I watched a live video on Instagram a few weeks back and Brooks said then that his drum parts were all done
I doubt that.. cause i feel if they had b sides they would have released one to fill the gap during the pandemicMaybe there'll be excess songs that could be released over time
Maybe they'll record 20 songs and put like 12 on an album or a double disc, wowI doubt that.. cause i feel if they had b sides they would have released one to fill the gap during the pandemic

Totally get that.. hes had multiple surgeries. I sure his style had changed over each one. Every album you can hear the change in his voice. I think hes gotten better at controlling his range without over powering his voice. The only reason I don't think this is true is because of Matt's voice. His recovery was LONG, and as near as I can piece together, involved breaking down and re-learning how to sing from scratch in a lot of ways. This could mean his voice may sound very different to fans' ears, and they may want to keep all of it wrapped up until THE BIG REVEAL and building momentum to the new album (i.e. the first single).
Everything we've heard Matt's singing voice on since 2018 was recorded BEFORE he was sick.
