There’s a new Jason Becker song out! There are a lot of amazing players playing on this one! In case anyone is unaware who Jason Becker is. Jason Becker used to be the guitar player for Cacophony(if you don’t know them I would really recommend both their records), solo(Perpetual Burn is great in case you’re interested) and David Lee Roth(he played on ‘a little ain’t enough’ and I think he wrote showtime and drop in the bucket). He got ALS at the age of 21 and can’t play guitar anymore. However, he is still alive(a lot longer than originally expected) and writing music(very impressive good music imo)

This is great! I remember when A Little Ain’t Enough was about to come out, and the ALS diagnosis was made public. Jason spoke often about how David Lee Roth basically bent over backwards to do whatever Jason wanted and treated him with utmost respect – even offering to have a “backup guitarist” in the wings so that Jason could play as much or as little as he felt like on the tour.
Diamond Dave and terms like “respected human” and “all around good guy” don’t really go together very often, but he showed in that moment that he could definitely be a good and decent man, and I gained a lot of respect for him.
I’m sad that was Jason’s final guitar performance, but there’s some great material on there.

Well you have Marty Friedman, Michael Lee firkins, Joe Bonamassa, Steve Vai amd Paul Gilbert to name a few. So that only can turn out good. I’m probably gonna pick that record as soon as it comes out. This song honestly gave me chills. I think I would consider Jason Becker A genius because I think he wrote this thing without being able to play guitar.
