Hey all! I’m wondering if there are any Nick Drake fans here, and would like to introduce him to those who have never heard of him. He was a british singer-songwriter, acoustic folk artist from the 60s and early 70s who released 3 studio albums during his short life. He suffered from major depression as evident in his music. His life story and mythology is fascinating and I’d avise anyone who’s interested to read up on him.
The reason I bring him up here is because of what an incredible guitar player he was, one of my all time favorites. He had a cool voice as well but he really shines with his lyrics and his guitar playing. He used all sorts of cool, out there tunings and finger picking patterns and I figured a good amount of folks here would enjoy checking him out! Very difficult stuff for me to learn personally but yeah haha this is his most well known song, “Riverman”. If you dig it, check out his other music from his studio albums, and post death releases (mainly demos and what not).
