Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a woman of wealth and taste ;)

Hi everyone! My name is Aileé, I joined this community a few days ago and I’m incredibly excited to be a part of it! I’m feeling perhaps the strongest motivation and encouragement I’ve ever felt to improve, and in only a few days I have learned some valuable information and noticed a difference in my playing.
A little on my background:
I’ve been playing guitar for about 10 years, my biggest struggle at the moment is definitely my technique though. I have a strong grasp on music theory, as I’ve been studying classical voice for years, so that is where some of my frustration came from; I understand many of the concepts of what to do, but with my guitar technique not being up to par I just wasn’t able to transfer them from my head to my hands. Thus, I started from lesson 1 to fill in the gaps in my knowledge.
I’m going to be asking and uploading videos with a lot of technique questions really soon! Also, I just wanted to let you guys know, I am a certified audio engineer so I would be more than happy to offer my help to anyone with questions regarding audio/guitar effects, recording guitars, gear etc. And with music theory too, of course.
Thank you for taking the time to read. I look forward to getting to know and learn from all of you!
Aileé

Welcome! I studied a bit of audio engineering myself and absolutely love every aspect of recording, mixing, and mastering.
As for my guitar playing, I’ve been playing about the same time as you and never really had any kind of direction. I’ve never taken any lessons or anything like that. I’ve used this school as a back to the basics and it has helped so much. Fundamentals are key and once you grasp those, you move on to the next thing.
We are all students of guitar and probably always will be. Welcome again!
