Does anyone know a way to practice stuff without my guitar? I am sitting in class bored out of my mind (College can be too easy sometimes) and I would love to get some practice. Unfortunately typing in all these hacking competitions is not doing much for me and is causing carpal tunnel lol.
air guitar. Or just practice your knowledge of more music theory (memorization) which shouldn’t require a guitar. Other than that, the last thing I would recommend is to get a guitar app from your phone.
I know there are guitars out there that have just the neck and they fold or something and it’s designed to practice when your not at home. Idk what it’s called, it surely wouldn’t make much noise but that could work?
It might Matt. But I am really looking for something I can do in a classroom with my fingers or whatever so that I don’t get distracting to anyone else.
I personally always do finger drumming, you can practice rhythm, or try to come up with a cool drumming pattern, maybe work on some odd time signatures… though it’ll probably piss off those around you
can try those guitar playing apps on your phone. they are shitty. but betterthan nothing. at least you get 6 strings and 3-4 frets on your mobile screen
I tend to visualize my guitar a lot when I’m away from my guitar. Another thing is to focus a bit more on theory and stuff like that. practicing technique can be a bit hard while being away from your guitar though.
im constantly moving my fret hand to the notes in my head, all I can suggest is maybe practice finger movement, but in the air lol. Might get some odd looks, but eh. They dunno the magic.
