As of right now I don’t have my electric guitars. Is it possible to still learn the syn school with my acoustic guitar?

Absolutely! Electric or acoustic, standard tuning on both is the same, so chords, scales, etc, still relate. Additionally, if you progress on an acoustic, it will feel a LOT easier when you do transition back to electric.
