I just read this Dave Mustaine interview and it kinda showcases why I love Marty Friedman and Megadeth with Marty Friedman so much.

Must have been a rare day when Dave was on his meds. He gave proper credit where it was due, and no sniping or grandstanding. And he’s right – Marty elevated Megadeth in a way no one has before or since, though Kiko is a close second, as far as I’m concerned. Dystopia is the best album they’ve made in a HELL of a long time.

I’ll have to check out dystopia haven’t really listened to it yet but I heard it’s a pretty great record!
If I’ll have my 5 favourite guitarists of all time there are 3 who will be in there for sure (Marty, Syn and Django). My favourite Megadeth record has always been Rust In peace but with Marty you can go even further and listen to Speed Metal Symphony, Go Off and Scenes. I consider Scenes as one of the best instrumental records of all time and Speed Metal Symphony and Go off are Cacophony records which means it comes with Jason Becker too!
In case you’re wondering I’m a pretty big Marty Friedman fan(even though I haven’t really listened to his latest record yet)
