“Everything effects tone” lol I’ve heard that more times than I can count..pretty true though. In a nutshell..the higher the action, the more “open” the guitar will sound, if that makes sense? More height allows the strings to ring out and vibrate more freely, giving it more sustain and a nicer resonance. It’s more noticeable on an acoustic though. I find around 4/64s measured at the 12 fret to be a happy medium with my guitars and style of music I enjoy playing..not to low, not to high. I believe that measurement to be considered a “medium-low” action hah
