Site Uptime and Loadtime

Hey Synners,
Just letting you all know that we* are working on the site. We’re attacking the slower loading and site downtime. Should be solved over next few days.
In other news, I got a recent sneak peek at the SGS t-shirts coming at you — and they are .
(*Syn is literally coding up a storm on his Mac right now. Thought he only knew how to shred guitar? Well, he is crushing the rewrite of the .htaccess file and while Papa Gates is whipping up a logger for our server to audit what might be the problem.)

Ahhh when do the shirts get released?! If it’s in a few weeks I may just wait to place a big order together!
I appreciate the work on the site but it doesn’t bother me having to wait an extra fifteen seconds. I was really happy to see the extended character max in the private messages along with the emojis! Bless Syn and papa Gates to do all this amongst their busy lives. And you guys, too!!

Although this section isnt for what im about to say, i figured it was better than to create a topic about it!
it would be very useful to have a search bar in order to search specific topics in the member forum!
For example, im about to write up a question about ear training and i know it has been done before, i just can’t find the previous topic!

Since the last update, load times are BRUTAL. Every click is a ~15 second wait for something to happen. Forum, lessons, anything. Once the click “goes through” everything loads reasonably, but the delay is a real thing to dread.

I’m patient for load times but most often my connection times out because it took so long to load and I have to refresh. ?

Come to think of it, it is lagging a lot. Right now I’m trying to respond to forum topics, comment on riffs, and I’ve only been able to leave one comment and the time it took me to log in, click on the forum, and leave the comment (which was one or two sentences long) it took 6 minutes to do. I’m wanting to leave comments on riffs, and I’m trying, but at this rate it’s going to take me a half an hour just to leave five comments I hope it gets situated. I’m sure the team is handling it.

Yeah it’s lagging for me too. Also some strange glitches started to happen: a lot of people said that they saw their name appear under the riff section while they didn’t upload anything, letters that are not in the english alphabet look like weird symbols, few times i entered the site it looked like i was logged onto someone elses accout but when i went to my profile everything was fine. It would be nice to get some update from the team to tell us what’s going on.
