Something I definitely needed. But I have one question. Is it worth using my me-25.. can you even plug it into the switcher? (My guess is no) and if not I can just use it before the pedal board right?
So ideally itd be separate if I wanted to continue to use it. I mainly use it for tones rhythm like. But I think u can use a pedal if I needed to. Theres one reverb tone I use in one song too. Small things. Do you think itd still work that way?
You can certainly chain pedals and your new system in front of the ME-25, but you’ll be tap-dancing, because nothing on the new switcher will touch the ME-25, so if you change tone AND effects, get ready to dance.
That’s why I’m ok with removing the me all together. I just need to recreate the tone on my pedal over the me 25. Its nice to know tho that I have both so I have the opportunity to dance if I want to.
You can dance if you want to.
You can leave your friends behind.
Cause your friends don’t dance,
And if they don’t dance,
Then they’re no friends of mine.
Sorry. That’s too old for a lot of people here. Looks like you might be able to use the ME-25 direct into a computer for recording, while you use the pedal board for live/in-room sound maybe?
Along with the pedal switch system u got I also got the fbv channel switcher from line 6 for my amp. This allows me to set the me-25 aside during jams. I like this too but I feel I overlap effects when I use it.. and I’d rather try.to get my tone from my amp directly.
My amp has 32 different banks and 4 channels each bank. Unless I really.care about the presets that came with it I can change every bank for each song and just use the fx to switch during songs.. then one spin on the amp dial for the next song. Then the pedal board will help me add effects on top the amp tones.
With this said.. I can probably toy with my amp over the me 25 for tones and save them all. The me 25 doesn’t seem to give me a good lead tone when it overlaps the line 6 settings so I’m gonna keep the me 25 for recording purposes.. then use everything else when jamming. The rhythm tone when jamming isnt as big a concern to me then when recording. So I feel this makes most sense to me. Considering my board will.inly have 5 pedals to switch from this frees up room for 1.
I feel this in conclusion will dramatically improve the tones. Now that I know each bank is different I can have fun experimenting. I dont care for the premade tones as they are just pop song tones. I’d rather find my own.
