Does anyone know how to get a recording of the String parts on afterlife. I have looked all over for then and I can’t find them. If anyone has contact with Synyster or anyone else that might be able to get them to me that would be helpful. Thank you!

Honestly, if you’re having problems learning the solo and you nescecary need the string section it may be a good idea to pick a different song to play when you perform. Or you can play the radio edit that’s also a solution if you really want to play it.

Yeah I think they used the radio edit for the music video. But yeah no even if syn wanted, i dont think he has access to the masters of the album so he wouldnt be able to get them since they are owned (I assume, its generally like that) by WB. since you looked for it, i guess another option would be for you to try and recreate it with MIDI instruments but thats going to be hard

I have the masters for afterlife. I also have Almost Easy, Bat Country, Critical Acclaim, Nightmare, Scream, Seize the Day, Beast and the Harlot, and Welcome to the family. It’s pretty awesome picking them apart and listening to the nuances of each instrument, especially Jimmy’s drum parts. Also Vocal harmonies are awesome by themselves.

I know a guy that knows a guy that knows a guy. Unrelated, but I also used to live a block away from where they recorded the self titled album and where they filmed the “so far away” video in West Hollywood. I found out they filmed it after I got home from work one day. I was super pissed. I used to buy 40’s at that shop where the kids stole beer all the time.
