Switching Keys

I am sure I am not the only one with this question but how would you switch keys with ease? I am getting stuck in the same boxes and I really need to open my playing I have done a lot to do this and I have made so much progress but I want to be able to switch keys so I can make slower melodic stuff because I feel like shredding can’t be the only thing to life.(Plus when I shred I rip through scales and I need to break that habit)

You can use some keys that are very similar. Like A minor and D minor or g minor and D minor. This makes the key different but it doesn’t have a huge difference in the notes you can use.

Modulating in key signatures I think is what you’re looking for. You can easily move everything up a half or a whole step to change the key signature, Or even down a half for a whole step or even two steps. Just make sure that the chords you are playing over modulate as well
