Hello everybody
I have another question that i like to ask if anyone knows the answer
I’m like in a serching for a distortion or something like syn’s past distortion (when i mean to “past distortion” i’m mean the distortion tone of the “avenged sevenfold album” age and the “carry on” age)
I know that Syn talk about his Hellwin apm and the axe fx but i dont have the money and i dont live in USA to buy any of those beauty’s
I like to know wich pedals or nobs(i dont know if write that right) of the amp use to get such a clean but agressive distortion lead tone
Please help me if you know

You can get a similar tone with lots of amps. The biggest things are to Get a decent overdriven amp, turn the gain DOWN, mids up, and not have the treble stabbing people’s ears. Then throw an overdrive pedal like an MXR Zakk Wylde overdrive, Ibanez Tube Scream, or the cheapest, yet decent option(which Syn used to use around the City of Evil days, and also Zakk Wylde before he had a signature overdrive) is the Boss Super Overdrive. I got mine for like $40. But yeah, turn the drive down to 1 or 2, and the level up to 6 or so. Set it as a “clean boost”. This is where it boosts your guitar signal, but doesnt really distort it, but it gives your amp a really tight, chunky tone where leads are also very smooth. I like to turn the bass up a little on the amp, but not too much, and then turn the treble up a little on the overdrive to even things out.
Here’s a video of Misha Mansoor doing it with his Precision Drive pedal that’s made specifically for this purpose.
