Hi. I’ve been quiet for a long time but don’t worry, I’ve been practicing almost daily.
I’m not good at writeups but I finally figured something out and felt the need to say it out loud because that’s why these forums exist so just bare with me.
Let’s start from my own experience. I’ve been trying to learn the Hail To The King for half an year now and the one part i’ve really struggled, really badly, until today, is obviously the solo. I wasn’t able to crank up the speed at all. No matter how much I practiced..
I tried everything. I watched all the videos here and trained the techniques required and so on, without any luck. I tried everything the internet suggested but it didn’t help much so I was kinda stuck.
Everyone says that practice slow to play perfectly and slowly crank up the speed.
But what I did was the following. I learned the entire solo slowly just so I remebmered it and then I just tried to play as fast as Syn. Obviously didn’t go well but the trick is to Focus on the parts which you have troubles with. Not to repeat the same mistakes. Now after a maybe couple hours of practice I’m prolly 50% faster on that solo and my fingers don’t feel as clumsy as before (If you remeber My topic about that lol).
I think that this can be aplied to anything. Just push yourself way over the limit and really find those weak spots..
I have spoken. Thanks for reading and good night!
