Unable to learn any faster solos?

Hi. I’ve been quiet for a long time but don’t worry, I’ve been practicing almost daily.
I’m not good at writeups but I finally figured something out and felt the need to say it out loud because that’s why these forums exist so just bare with me.
Let’s start from my own experience. I’ve been trying to learn the Hail To The King for half an year now and the one part i’ve really struggled, really badly, until today, is obviously the solo. I wasn’t able to crank up the speed at all. No matter how much I practiced..
I tried everything. I watched all the videos here and trained the techniques required and so on, without any luck. I tried everything the internet suggested but it didn’t help much so I was kinda stuck.
Everyone says that practice slow to play perfectly and slowly crank up the speed.
But what I did was the following. I learned the entire solo slowly just so I remebmered it and then I just tried to play as fast as Syn. Obviously didn’t go well but the trick is to Focus on the parts which you have troubles with. Not to repeat the same mistakes. Now after a maybe couple hours of practice I’m prolly 50% faster on that solo and my fingers don’t feel as clumsy as before (If you remeber My topic about that lol).
I think that this can be aplied to anything. Just push yourself way over the limit and really find those weak spots..
I have spoken. Thanks for reading and good night!

I literally have documented my entire journey with hail to the king on the school for over a year now. I have posted up forum topics about it, posted up several videos about it and so on and so forth. I have several tutorial videos that I have issued on the school and I have also been asking students numerous times what points on that song they wanted me to address and my tutorials for that song. I have 2 different intro tutorials, 2 different solo tutorials, the full song tutorial and as well as multiple instructional videos that talk about spots I may be struggling with and how to overcome them. And the best part is they have been Syn approved Sweep picking and finger exercises are covered. This is why I always try to encourage students to post and ask questions and not wait so long before they do. You said that you’ve been struggling with this for 6 months and it’s apparent to me that unfortunately you haven’t been very active on the forums or on the riff pages because you would have seen all of my posts and videos about this. 6 months ago you could have had your questions answered and have been making progress in the right direction instead of beating yourself up for 6 months with frustration. I sat down with another student who is in the same position as you and failed to be active on the school and he was working on hail to the king as well. I had him send me a video of him playing the intro and it literally took me about 2 weeks of beating him in the head to actually get him to record it because of his nerves. By the time he sent me the video there were about 5 different common errors he was making that were inhibiting his ability to progress. After he corrected those 5 small errors, he sent me his progress video a week later and it was mind blowing better! Please don’t wait 6 months to post up that you need help. When I get home from work I’ll be more than glad to issue all of these videos to you on my YouTube channel and hopefully that helps you.

Thanks. I really apperciate people who are willing to help others. I’m just “bad” at using forums. Gotta try to fix that lol.
I actually tried to ask a guestion here couple months back but it just disappered as soon as I posted it and it was a kinda long story so I didn’t feel like writing it all again. Besides, usually I feel like my questions are maybe a bit too silly..
I’ll have to admit. It wasn’t a wise thing to do to wait for 6 months and try to tackle it all by myself. Some days I actually thought that I need someone to listen my playing to find the problems but I don’t know why I never discussed about it on here.
I always thought that I need to practice slowly to not to make any errors while on reality I just needed to push myself way over my limits. I still can’t master the solo compilitely though. Need to train More, but at least I feel like I’m procressing now.
While the point in my post was to push yourself over the limits and practice the errors you make to not get stuck like me, I really apperciate all help. Even if it’s not much. I guess it’s just kinda “hard” for me to ask for help when I really need it I’ll gotta check out your youtube after I get home from work. Thanks.

Just bookmarked ALL of those fuckin things, as I am finally feeling like diving into this song. I got the intro up to about 70% speed yesterday, getting it under my fingers, but want to watch through your tutorial to see if there are good bits I missed. Then the solo…

Thank you Jak. Yesterday I started to re-learn the intro your way. Definitely easier to play that way. I used to play the 17-15 Part with my index and ring finger and the 14 fret I played with my middle finger.
Today I’ll watch The rest of the videos after I get home from work.
