Hello everyone!
For those of you who are new, occasionally I like to drop some motivational thoughts that cross my mind.

Have you ever thought to yourself "I wish I would have started sooner."
Remember that in five years, your "sooner" will be today. So start what you want to do NOW, and amaze yourself with where you'll be in five years.

Success is simple, not easy.

This lines up with some recent stuff of been learning on ye old guitar. Nick Drake is one of my favorite players ever but his style is so radically different than mine. It’s acoustic folk, lots of very very strange tunings, odd finger patterns, and what not. Very different from what I’m used to and mostly very complex, so I’ve always seen his style of playing and even learning any of his songs as pretty unobtainable.

Anyways, last week I decided that there’s no harm in at least giving it the old college try and looking back in a few years to see how far I’d come with it I posted one of my early attempts of his song “Horn” under the riff section last night and I’m pretty proud of it so far. More of a simple song from him but I needed to get into that mindset and play style (and fingerpicking mode because that’s something I just normally never do) and thought that was a great song to start with. So this really resonates with me today, thanks Jak!
