Awesome song! Sounds difficult. Buried Alive is still on my list, I perfect the intro a little more from year to year but never managed to play a solo.
Also started learning Insurrection by Trivium over a year ago, which I still can barely play the first two verses/choruses of without messing up. But attemping that song made me really fit for some more advanced metal stuff. Been downpicking a lot and got into galloping, triplets, alternate picking riffs and sweeps.

I really want to learn One by Metallica, the whole song. Have managed to learn some parts, but the tapping solo, i dont even try to begin yet. When i started playing guitar my goal was to learn this full song.
Also want to learn Master of Puppets
And Are You dead Yet from Children of Bodom, thiose are on wishlist, which maybe i would never learn cause of difficulty.

For little bit easier I wanna learn Gojira (am now working on Silvera with my teacher)

@Dominik Gräber , love that song, Buried Alive, my fav from Avenged. Do you have some tips for Trivium songs (riffs) that are not too hard

To feel more accomplished, try learning the rhythm guitar head to toe first! Pick up as many parts/sections as you can :) You may even get a gist of the soloing when you nail the other parts first. All the best!

I'm trying to dominate the first Technical Difficulties riff, I'm at 100BPM at the moment vs that 130BPM god damn speed

Tell me your experiences learning songs too :3

Same here bro! Looking forward to your take on it!

Dying In Your Arms is a pretty simple Trivium song.

Aah, I used to play technical difficulties pretty regularly years ago. That's a fun song to play!

At the moment I'm working on Djangology by Django Reinhardt and besides that one there are plenty of songs I'd like to learn as well but that's all in due time.

I'd love to be able to play Afterlife, someday!
For real, this song is the reason why I started playing guitar. That solo I swear... but I can proudly say that after 8 years of playing guitar... Yeah no I still cant do it.

There isn't any uplifting story, I still suck. But I am sure YOU will nail it soon enough! :)

"I still suck" says the guy who's slowly chipping away at playing every Avenged song on bass 😂 You're doin' far better than me, brother! I'll get there one day though! That's one of the greatest solos ever made. So, so good.

Also Bat Country. Pretty much any Avenged song because they're the ones who made me wanna play in the first place.

Do I plan on covering all the a7x songs on bass? Yes
Do I plan to do covers that are gonna be tight and well done? absolutely not, its gonna be sloppy as fuck! 😂

And yes bat country is insane. I really love this song! One day i'll get around to it as well! The nightmare solo is insane too... love it
