Gimme one of the 8 albums and the reason why(i know its really hard to pick just one)
so ive been thinking for a while and id say my fav one has to be waking the fallen, even if some solos are missing the syns signature solo style that he manage to develop on the next album, but the album is full of amazing bad ass riffs and a blend of screams and some really high belted singing. And also that album has some jewels people have not given much attention to.

I like waking the fallen for the solos believe it or not, the clairvoyant disease, chapter four, second heartbeat. I wont see you tonight also has amazing singing “no more breath inside essence left my heart tonight” that part is so good. but the self titled for me is the best because of the backing vocals the rev singing is soo good all songs are equally good also, even do m.shadows hates unbound lol.

Nightmare for me because I remeber listening to Welcome to the family (my first and favourite song) and hearing the riff pounding and then the solo came in and it was like I found god. Not to mention songs like natural born killer and god hates us just for the relentless thrash.

For me it’s The Stage simply because it’s the only record I listened to a billion times and keep finding new things that I didn’t notice before. City Of Evil and nightmare are probably a close second but there are 4 songs on nightmare that I can’t handle emotionally most of the time.

for me it is difficult and scummy everyone has their touch but the tituled self shows the ingenuity of the rev in afterlife and the ALPOH among others is a magnificent album
self tituled and the stage for sure the stage is an album that you never tire of listening to all the songs and always have energy
and nigthmare just to take the cd or see the photo I feel a huge darkness when I listen to the cd I feel pain and chaos (sorry for saying this) I love the album because it brings this feeling
and waking the fallen is epic

The Stage. It has my two favorite solos on there, the lyrical content is so deep, I hear so many musical genre influences, and Matt’s voice on “Exist” has quite literally calmed my nerves several times during anxiety attacks from my mother’s death, and the concept of Higher lessened my fear of death.
I’ve actually fallen asleep tothat part of Exist several times
I can’t get enough of that album. Yes the other albums all serve their own unique energy and purpose, but this one is my favorite

Self titled. I got into a7x after COE but before this album, so right in the middle of the COE cycle haha but ST got me through the most difficult time of my life thus far, I owe it almost everything. It’s a kick ass, fun, creative album and I love everything about it. It also has quite a few of my favorite songs of all time on it, ALPOH, Gunslinger, Brompton Cocktail, and Dear God. The Stage is a VERY close 2nd though, that album is unbelievable and Fermi Paradox is one of the greatest songs of all time IMO.

I’d have to say Nightmare, probably because it was the first album I ever heard by Avenged and it features the most emotional depth from songs like “Danger Line”, “Victim”, “Fiction”, “So Far Away” and my favorite song by them right after “Coming Home”, “Save Me”. “Save Me” is one of those songs that I can listen to in any kind of mood and get a different sentiment from. From the amazing guitar work, to the vocal styling, to that amazing chorus, “Save Me” has it all. Not to mention, Nightmare features some a couple of pretty heavy songs “Natural Born Killer” and “God Hates Us” which help round out the feel of the album and give it some more character.
