I read in one of Syn’s tips that sometimes the root or fifth is implied(maybe the third is aswell but I’m not entirely sure) but I was wondering how do you know whether a note is implied and when is a note implied?
For example Lose Yourself by Eminem is simply a loop of a chord made up of D and A(which is a D5) and a chord made up of D an Bb. Now I’m not sure what to call the chord made up of D and Bb. Is it simply a D#5 or is it a Gm where the root is implied?
