Hard choice man… I have Damien and it’s great but all others look great too. When I decided to buy that guitar I know I wanted a guitar that has 24 frets, 2 pickups (not the middle one cause that kinda annoyed me while playing) and I know that I didn’t want a volume knob near the bridge pickup (like stratocasters have) because I couldn’t rest my picking hand and the knob just got in the way. I always wanted the syn signature guitar but when I learned what a floyd rose is I decided that it’s not the best idea for me to buy a guitar with floyd rose cause I knew I would eventually mess something up when I would have to change the strings so I gave up on that. Look at the specs of all guitars ( what tuners they have, neck material, pickups and all that stuff) and google that and look if people complain about some of those (example if the tuners are bad or something like that) or how to spot fake from real tuners… Hope this helps you.

Before making a final decision, take the time to play as many guitars off that list as you can. Everyone’s tastes are different, so one man’s greatest guitar in the world might not cut it for someone else. I’ve played a few off that list and personally own a Schecter extremely similar to the Syn signature, so I’d have to default to that one as my recommendation, but obv if you prefer a single-cut model you might wanna give higher attention to the papa het iron cross and so on and so forth.

This may sound corny but I don’t pick my guitars, they pick me. I’m a very “honeymoon” style buyer. I honestly NEVER played on a Schecter and never cared to. I was a die-hard Gibson girl. Then I walked into Guitar Center and there was the most sexiest, manliest guitar I had ever seen hanging on a wall. I immediately had to play it and it sounded and felt just as great as it looked. Sure enough, it was a Schecter.
The thing about buying guitars is you can know all their specs and everything, but you won’t know it’s the right one FOR YOU until you play it. I also noticed that you listed a lot of custom signature guitars. Keep in mind that what works for one artist and their music might not transfer as well for yours. Don’t get me wrong, Synyster Gates’ custom guitars sound absolutely insane. But when I went to go play my original work on it the sound didn’t transfer as well. It was like when I was first getting into Skid Row and I had to have the same pickups that Snake Sabo and Scotti Hill had. It sounded great for skid row stuff but it sounded like garbage on my original stuff. I think more than anything you need to find a guitar that speaks to you. Regardless of the specs, regardless if it’s a signature model, regardless of the brand or the price. Is there a guitar in the above list that really calls out to you? One that you would just absolutely love to have?

The one guitar I always go back to on this list is the iron cross I never played it before but the first time I went to guitar center I saw it I went to it. But every time I been there since they never had it I always wanted to try it. I tried the Eclipse before and I really liked the shape and how it sounded it really fit me I think. But I already have a schecter and love it so I need to try the iron cross thanks for the help Jak.

you should check some of the john petrucci models that sterling has to offer, i played the majesty one and it felt really nice, and is relatively cheap compared to the other guitars you mentioned, so theres quite some room for modding
