i really agree with rute here, there's something really important you need to know, there is just one and only synyster gates, nobody can use his style better than him, its okay to take inspiration from him, but you really need to create your own style and try to do it better than anyone else, it's all i can say to you. a style also is not about how you play your skills , is also about your feelings,your mood, what you want to express at the moment, the things that happen in your life, all the music you hear, and a lot more of things.

I think it is like anything else to do with guitar, I don't think you can underestimate how important it is to have your own style, you wouldn't want to sound like Syn because there already is a Syn, better to do something new than mimic another guitarist.
