That song is a total bop as well. I’ll put that one down on my list and look at it more this weekend, thank you! I’ll keep you updated as well. I love the HTSD album.
Yeah that album is great and full of catchy riffs. I'll keep an eye out for your videos!

Motivation depends on so many things. And you need to understand that there are two very distinct types of motivation and they couldn't be more different from one another:

    - extrinsic motivation - this type of motivation is fueled by outside factors; think getting a job you don't like because you need money to pay the bills, and the only reason you'd put more effort in is if you were paid more; otherwise, there is no real motivating factor
    - intrinsic motivation - this one is strongly linked to what you actually want to do as an individual; it may take years to figure out, but more often than not it's linked to either than one creative activity you could do for hours on end or something that you can do so naturally and easy it seems it was meant for you (videogames don't count sadly unless you want to go pro)

Intrinsic motivation comes from within and it's very powerful. And I always found it funny that this motivation is strongly linked to that one activity you want to do, but told not to because "it's not a real job".

What I want to say with this long, intertwined post is that, should you want to be the best guitarist/musician in the world and you are at peace with yourself (i.e. you know that this is who you want to be and you are no longer ashamed to admit it) and with people around you being judgmental pricks because "muh society values", motivation will come.

This all worked for me and people are very different, but some things just don't change between us.

Thing is. I never really knew and liked Blues. I Love Metal so a logical step was playing it on guitar. But never Had a Connection to Blues. But now with this Site I am improving, am given Lessons on Blues and even was challenged by Ids to Play a Blues Song. Also seeing John Mayer live Last year helped a Lot :p
John Mayer. Might need to give this guy a shot!

I think I could go with some Metallica song. They’re usually pretty crazy with the whole down picking and what not but some songs are calmer. I’ll certainly be on the search and keep you updated. I have a list of potentials, I just need to actually look into them. At the moment fade to black is a potential but I’m not sure if I can hit the outro solo at the moment with where I am.
Yeah, keep us updated, I'm looking forward to see that!

I find just listening to music really motivates me. Another key factor is listening to other guitarists talk about their love and passion for music, and watching them play really makes me think 'i can do that one day'. That recent Syn podcast really inspired me too.
I love the Ernie Ball String videos, all the iconic artists talk about their love for it! I’ll definitely check out that recent podcast tomorrow, thanks for all of that! Definitely agree
