Cool voicing for A7/Am7

I was messing around with a Em-G-Am-B chord progression and found a really cool voicing for an A7(it does not have a minor or major third in it).

Basically you leave the low E A,G and High E string open while fretting the D and G string on the 5th fret. Doing this results that the A, G and E notes are doubled up and sounds pretty cool.

One of my favorite A maj-7-type chords also has two low A notes: 506650, I play the low note with my thumb. Of course muting the lowest string for x06650 may often be preferable.

Think pg plays it with his thumb too. I wish my hand was big enough to curl it but I dont think I can.. just enough to mute and that's it.

Theres definitely more to.factor then just that. Pg goes into de tail of how using your thumb works for some and not for others. This isn't something I'm concerned about honestly.

Trust me, your hand is big enough for 506650. It's one of the easiest chords to play. The way to finger it is don't use your index finger.
