Adapting scales for drop tuning.

How do you all visualize and adapt your scales when switching to a drop tuning? I do 99 percent of my practicing in standard tuning, but play and write in a drop tuning. Typically I just ignore the low string when it comes to scales, but it feels limiting. The low string for chords and riffs and then I switch gears to scales for leads.

Is there a method of looking at it besides trying to picture the low string notes dropped a full step?

Well two strings are the exactly the same that's pretty much it. A lot of drop tunes start on one d and end on the other d.

Shit man, that's it. I'm always overthinking stuff like this and it's as simple as that. Match the 6th string to the 4th.

If you wanna run scared its a
Bit trickier. Like remembering that you're one note behind means every string yok start your scale run one note before you normally do.
