help - clarification on scales

Hello everyone,

I need clarification on scales please

I don't know if I'm right, I was here practicing the major and C major scales.

Can I practice the scales on the entire guitar neck with the same shape and with the same key on another note on the fretboard?

Can I also connect the scales with the same scales on another note on the fretboard?


My English is not very good, sorry if there is anything out of context or that does not make sense.

I'm not entirely sure what your asking but basically a scale has a number of notes in it. For example the Cmajor scale has 7 notes in it(C D E F G A B). You can play these notes everywhere on the neck and therefore you can play the C major scale everywhere on the neck too. The only thing that changes is the shape in which you play the scale.

One scale always has the same notes, it doesn't matter where you play it. Of you change a note it is a different scale.

It sounds like you're asking if you can follow the same major pattern with any note. Answer is yes every chord and note has a scale and pattern and they all seem to be the same patterns.
