I need your musical feedback/advice/magic/extraterrestrial reasons for something

Hey there synners.

So I've been doing a bit of digging in my Spotify streams and I'm a bit...confused.

As some of you may know, I have released two Orchestral Covers EPs and the results have been good.

However, I don't quite understand why some tracks perform so much better than the others. For example, my latest release can be found here:


Out of these 5 songs, 2 have performed like 3 times better than the other 3. The first one I expected it to be Nightmare, which it is, but even Nightmare is surpassed by...Dance Macabre. And I legit want to understand why.

Those of you who have some time...can you try and unriddle this riddle with me?

Maybe one is a more popular search for randoms? I have to listen to the 2nd ep still.

It could be that people simply like certain songs more than others. The other possibility is that they end up in playlists and the others don't, for example release radar, daily mixes etc.

My ex guitar teacher experiences the same thing, look at his most played sing and compare it with the others.

Yeah, I thought about that. I mean I would have expected Nightmare to be up there, but it being surpassed by Dance Macabre is what surprised me the most. I know Ghost is a popular band right now, but still.

@Ids Schiere yeah, that would make some sense, though judging by the numbers Spotify is giving, (like 3 streams for release radar)...I dunno..
