Hi! I´m spanish so I can tell you somethig about flamenco :).
I think that people outside Spain see flamenco as the steriotipe spanish music but it is the traditional music of just one region of spain: Andalucia. However it has influenced a lot of music outside Andalucia. Im not from Andalucia so I have never been in touch with flamenco so I can´t tell you as many thing about it as I would like to, but I can tell you that Paco de Lucia was one on the greatest Spanish player, that dude was a shreder! The few thing that I have listened of him are awesome. I have never listen to Rosalia but I know that she "mixed" flamenco and trap.
If you want to listen to other flamenco artist Camaron is a good point to start

I think I saw flamenco one time in real life. I think they mainly use the thumb and index finger, there's like this tremelo pick with the index finger if I'm not mistaken. There's a lot of stuff I would like to learn, but language barriers and all that sucks. I can't go looking for chinese or russian songs for example, I don't know any spanish as well.... I know lavos los manos

Yeahhh but I started with Niño Ricardo, Sabicas, Ramón Montoya, Lole y Manuel, and yeah many people see the Flamenco as a Spanish Music but is a wrong stereotype. Paco said in some regions of Spain the people hate Flamenco, I recommend you Siroco, Zyryab By Paco, those albums are my favorites.

Yo si hablo español, it will be "Lavado de Manos" Hand Wash, the names of Flamenco's Techniques will be, Picado (for single notes), Rasgueado, Tremolo, the Flamenco tremolo is a bass and 4 notes (P i a m i) classical is a bass and 3 note (P a m i). But the most important thing in Flamenco are "palos" like subgenres or things like that, and the rhythms of the Palos, like Bulerias, Soleas, Alegrias. Not all Palos has a Rhythm. Mineras, Farrucas, Tarantas, Etc. All the rhythms in Flamenco has accents their are so important. I don't speak English, I create this topic to improve my English.

I think mine is Mexican Spanish, I saw it in the bathrooms all the time living in California. I think I can do a little of what you talked about, I've practiced playing with my fingers occasionally. Thanks for sharing that information :D I'll try to go through this stuff when I'm in a mood for it. Everyday is different for me.
