So this might seem a bit silly but always wanted one of his actual guitar picks. Never got lucky anytime they played in Ireland. Can anyone tell me if any on eBay are legit? Have gotten lucky with Kirk Hammett and few other guitarists to catch their picks!
You can probably get one with his name somewhere on eBay. I have some myself. If you wish to get something of the same kind, it's basically a Gator Grip 2.0mm.

Ah I want one just for display purposes of my favourite guitarists. You reckon most the ones on eBay are okay? Like the ones that look like gator grip?
Yup. I have some and they look pretty legit to me haha. Expected for the price to be a bit of a bomb, but rest assured they're good. I can't find the link I bought from before because I got them a little over 8 years ago. I found one here.

Play safe and contact the seller first :) Cheers!

🤔 I’ve never bought from eBay, I’m always a bit skeptical of eBay. My husband collects stage played picks, we have a couple from folks like Gary Holt and Jeff Loomis, but we’ve always gotten them direct from the guitarist with a certificate of authenticity that usually even states which show they were played at.
I’d say just do your research and ask the seller as many questions as you can. If they can’t answer them or verify anything then I’d say it’s a fake.

The one and only metal show I've been to I caught a pick... unintentionally lol. I tried like hell to catch one for a bit at the end of the night. Finally gave up after being slapped on the back of the head for like the 5th or 6th time in <1.5min's. I put my head down and took my first deep breath in 5 hours after 4 of which was spent being pinned/smooshed on the security fence. I for some reason wore my hat to the show not realizing that had a good chance of being knocked off/lost. I bowed my head and took a breath feeling exhausted. I had my hands opened palm up after being clenched for a while. All of a sudden I feel a tink on the bill of my hat and something lands in my hand. I look and see a guitar pick magically appeared. I look up to see Kerry King throwing picks in my general direction. Turns out I caught a pick without even attempting to. Looked around to see if it was security but they were being kind of hard asses for the show. Only moving when there was a crowd surfer incoming (I learned that I must have a giant target on the back of my head for crowd surfers. I got tagged, dragged over, thumped, at least 10 times during the Slayer set alone.) When Kerry, Gary, Paul, and Tom were throwing out picks and sticks security refused to bend over to toss over a pick. So I guess luck was on my side that night or at least I got plenty of good karma for taking those bumps without saying a word besides ouch, shit, fuck a few times haha.

I got one of Syn's picks in 2013, from a roadie, when they came to play at Rock in Rio. I was in front of their hotel, with my friends, and we talked to this guy and he said "I'll see what I can do". He went in for a while and then came back with some picks for me and my friends.
I've been to three A7X concerts, even was in the front row, and never could get a pick, 'cause people were completely assholes and would almost kill me. I'm tiny, so it's even harder for me. lol

I saw pick-catching stories and had to share: My friend ALMOST got a pick straight from Syn at a show, back in like 2011. He literally leaned forward and tossed it right to her because she asked him for it from the very front row, we all watched it happen.

It bounced off her palm. And when the security guy right in front of us (who also saw the whole exchange) bent to pick it up, instead of handing it right to her he THREW it back into the crowd as hard as he could. She was pissed, lmao it was such a dick move on the security guy's part.

Oh, some security guys are completely jerks. In one of the concerts, Shadz threw the setlist, and it didn't reach the crowd. So the security guy picked it up from the floor and wanted to SELL the setlist to whoever was willing to pay.
And, since we're talking about catching stories: during ALPOH, someone threw some plastic flowers onto the stage. At the end of the show, Johnny picked it up and leaned towards me and threw them to me. I got them, but some girl who was next to me (and saw everything, she knew Johnny gave me the flowers) took them off my hands, and I was fighting her, I wasn't letting it go, but she was very rude and managed to keep the flowers to herself. I was so pissed. But when she bragged to her friends about the flowers, I told her, in front of everyone, that she knew Johnny gave them to me and she stole them. She couldn't say anything, blushed a bit, and that was my little revenge. lol

Damn, what an ass of a security guy. Sorry to your friend! That shit certainly sucks. I saw similar things happen at the slayer show, people would attempt to grab a pick that bounced off their hand or picks that never made it to the crowd that landed in front of the security fence. I tried to get the guy I was visiting with between sets grab it for me but he took a few steps back and refused to pick any up. Didn't look like any of security did so. The only thing I saw a security guard give a person was a half of a bottle of water to the loud talkative girl that flashed her tits for him to give her the half drank water bottle hahaha. Like a quarter of the way through Slayer's blaringly loud set I could still hear her whining to the security guard about him not giving her a bottle.
