#OneMonthChallenge - Tonight The World Dies - Acoustic + Vocals

My final version of the acoustic part of Tonight The World Dies, this time with vocals and played on an acoustic! Though it's not really perfect, I'm kinda happy with my final version for the challenge 🥳 and I'll probably keep working on this song to get it better!
Tips/corrections/suggestions are very appreciated ☺️ including for vocals, since I'm not a professional 🤣 I just sing because I like to, but never took vocal lessons (even though is something I'm really looking up to in a near future) or searched for professional support of any kind 😬 so if you have some advices, I would really love to hear 🥰
I'm a self taught vocalist. Here's how I got better. Singing other people's song.. practice practice. And if you are writing your own music.. try to sing along with the lead guitar. It'll.help you tune your voice to know when you are singing certain notes. A lot of my earlier songs are like that where I'm singing along with the lead guitar melody. (By accident too). Once I realized that I noticed how much better my voice is from what I begun with. I just cant always tell you the notes I'm singing when I'm.not singing along to the melody. It's possible Holly could be more a help there then me.

But just practice makes perfect. Even if you think the vocals don't match.. they probably do and you have no idea.
Thank you so much for the tips!! Very helpful 🥰🙌🏼💞

(Bia, correct me if I'm wrong) The pattern I got from Bia was:
D D UUD DU UD D UUD DU UD D UUD DU UD D UUD DU UD... (this keeps repeating for the entire song - ZV adds some different things by the end of the song, but you can keep this same pattern).
You will play 8 strums per chord. Pay attention when making the chord changes: the first downstroke of a new chord is right after the last upstroke of the chord played before.
I don't know if I made sense, but yeah 😆

Wow thank you so much! 😻 😻 Glad you like the guitar, it took me some hard work to make it look like this, but it really paid off 😹💖

Yes, @redlipsofdeceit is totally right!

I use this pattern on a Tik Tok pattern of 16 notes, to help me keep the rhythm. Per chord you will have something like this:

Every number is a downstroke and every "and" is an upstroke. But you don't play all 16 of them. I decided which ones I would play by listening to the song. This got me to the pattern Anna posted above:

You only hit the green ones! It's a bit tricky because not every strum matches with a number, some of them will match with "and". Also, like Anna already mentioned, the first hit of a new chord is really next to the last one of the old chord. But once you get it right, it will become easier! 💃 And feel free to hit me up if you want to ask something about this 😊
