Well truth be told, I'm not a fan of K-Pop in its entirety. I'm still very selective of the songs and groups I listen to because I focus mainly on their arrangement in terms of the chords and melody they used. Blackpink stood out for me in terms of their overall arrangement. Not just the mainstream cutesy, poppy2 stuff.
But in general, usually when I hear any songs, I first listen to the vocal melody or lead line and visualize(or audio-lize) how it'd sound like as a guitar notes. And if it sounds interesting, I'll play it out and go deeper into studying the chord arrangement. Most of the time, the unique melodies are accompanied by some really interesting chords.

For this particular song, the verse was in key of F major, and then they changed to F minor in the pre-chorus & chorus itself. I don't know what you call that - I think it's parallel modes or something.
Not a lot of pop songs in this era does that. A lot of their songs have such arrangement which intrigues me
