Didn't originally plan on uploading this as I started recording stuff this morning just to document my own progress. However, I figured it'd probably help my motivation to put it out there and want to improve on it later! Apologies in advance for my background, rambling, etc. So here we go, me learning the absolute basics, which @[5:@Jak Angelescu] encouraged me to do after one of my vids on Instagram! My next goal is to revisit my Kakariko Village cover thing on my Instagram and learn all of the notes the chords use, so I can gain a better understanding of what I'm doing! I'll also most likely be going back to the CAGED system stuff with this as well! Hopefully this will give me enough to do when I take small breaks from trying to sweep!

  • Rambling but here's an update on my progress since returning, at least to track progress. May do more of these as I get better!
    • Stuck to scheduled practising, good since I'm awful with sticking to things.
    • Worked on my right hand today, mostly just holding the pick right. Must've threw in the towel too early when I tried ages ago, since after a bit of trial and error I found a spot that seems to work. Wrist isn't bending back like it used to, and fingers aren't fanning out. Might still need a bit of tweaking.
    • Standing up practice is on halt as I need a new strap. Typical!
    • I need to be more organised with exercises, got my 3 main bits but need stuff for warmups, etc. Any recommendations?
So I've been dedicating at least 30-60 minutes to getting back on track with guitar each day, and today I set myself a little challenge of working on Not Ready To Die's intro. Learned the first 8 bars, gonna include them in my practices each day and slowly get faster. It's great for working on my triplets and sweeps!
