    Do people prefer picking everything at angle or flat to string for better tone can play much better at angle but doesn't sound as good?

    I struggle with rhythm playing without the angle but it doesn't sound as good as flat so I try to pick everything flat for tone I'm overthinking big time have been for month's 😔

    Depends on the technique I’m using. For downpicking it’s more flat than for other techniques. I don’t focus on it but I feel the different position it’s in.

    I often slam a part of my index finger on the strings too, it's annoying. I don't have tips for you on how to fix it, but if you make a video and upload it there will be plenty of people who can help you.
