    Someone correct me if I am wrong, but learning on an acoustic is a bit tougher because the strings are a little harder to push down. Also, you have to be a little more precise with an acoustic. That can be a good thing as you would be more focused on making the notes sound cleaner.

    Hey guys and gals, I’m looking into getting something set up so I can start recording more videos of my playing. Does anyone have any recommendations on audio interfaces and cameras that they use? Maybe some editing software as well? Recording off of a cell phone can only get you so far haha...

    This is my favorite way of practicing. You can definitely hear me mess up in this, which is okay. I uploaded this video for that reason. Looking to get some better equipment to record videos.

    Live concerts

    I’ll be at the Grand Rapids show for the Stage Tour and Rock on the Range in May. I am really hoping Trivium goes on a summer tour within the US that comes through Indiana.

    The Chapter Four forums were some of the best I have ever been a part of. That place blew up the week the Self Titled album released. I agree with the post about Reddit and the A7X stuff that is talked about there.

    Warm Ups

    I do the same thing as Jake here. If the warm ups start to get stale or if I am not feeling it, I’ll throw some kind of backing track on and just improvise over it. Sometimes even playing through a song can get you into the spirit of learning new techniques.
