    I always liked the guitar sound but thought I could never play. While going through depression with nothing else to do and no motivation I was listening to the second solo on Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd and said that's it. That's a sound I love I want to make that sound. The rest is history

    So the big thing I am hesitant to try and would leave to a professional for a while is the inlays. Does drilling and filling mess with the tone or quality of wood? I mean you're removing wood.

The body I have picked right now is passive and has a trem cut in already. But it has a bolt on Maple neck and a mahogany body. Can you bond those two together...
