That sounds a bit chilly right now, Millie!

    ANNOUNCEMENT: Your Synner Team

Not to interrupt, but it's nearly 10pm and it's still 101 degrees (38.3) outside. I'll be in the pool, which is a cool 93 (33.9) degrees... This is where we in the southwestern US pay for laughing at everyone else all winter. But it's cool.

Question about blending different amps into one guitar track

Not sure what you're going for. Two or three amps running at once (real or virtual) will still just give you one track of guitar with the three amp tones blended into one tone. That won't thicken or fatten anything up, if that's what you're going for. It's still going to "sound" like one guitar...

Comment by 'Ed Seith' in media 'Hail to the king solo cover'

Int he same vein as Dominik's recommendation, you need to slow down and get your picking CONSISTENT and in sync with your fretting hand. That will clean up most of the sloppiness and help everything you do in the long run. Picking all notes on that opening pattern will really help with that A...

I like the idea, but if I could recommend, turn down the repeats/feedback on your delay, and let the part breathe a little. It gets a little too caught up in itself and sounds muddy - just my opinion. Thanks for posting!

Sounding nice. If you're looking for the next thing to work on, I'd suggest bend articulation and vibrato. Keep it up!

That's because you haven't been active enough on the site to post without approval. Spammers and such. That fretboard looks like the deck of a goddamn aircraft carrier. \m/

Captain Ed's AOTM - The Ultimate Bee Gees

For those who don't know the scene I was referencing:

    High E String Constantly breaking.

I use 9s, too. A guitar tech can gently file the groove a little to get rid of whatever is hanging up and breaking the string.

    High E String Constantly breaking.

If it's breaking in the same place every time, that's where you look. If it breaks at the nut, the nut needs a tiny file (probably from a tech). If it's happening at the bridge, same thing. If it's happening in the middle, it's your picking  .

"We can take forever just a minute at a time" is SUCH a great lyric! THANKS ARI!

    how to tune octaves

"intonace" in czech - it is minor adjustment to overall length of the string so that the 12th fret note and 12th fret harmonic ring the exact same note.

    Amp Settings

I bought my PRS core from Sweetwater, and that came setup properly. More recently, my EBMM Cutlass was purchased from them, though - I paid extra for the Plek and setup, and it was TERRIBLE. I had to spend a lot of time setting it up properly myself. When I complained, they gave me the bullshit...

Need advise on buying a new guitar

I had an Omen-7 for a while. I didn't care for it, but that's more because it helped me realize I don't want to really play 7-strings. Stock pickups were decent. Fit and finish was excellent. The finish was a really thick gel-coat almost, which meant it would really take a beating. I was...

Captain Ed's AOTM - The Ultimate Bee Gees

And by the way, "Stayin' Alive" is about the summer of 1977 in New York City - between the infamous blackout and the Son of Sam (David Berkowitz) serial killer still at large, it was a VERY tense time in the city ("Whether you're a brother or whether you're a mother, you're stayin alive, stayin...

Captain Ed's AOTM - The Ultimate Bee Gees

Since Syn’s AOTM has taken off, a couple of people have asked me, the old timer of the group, to do something similar. I’ll try to space it in between Syn’s entries, so I don’t steal his thunder (haha!). I certainly don’t expect as much engagement as Syn gets, but if my contribution here can...

Syn Custom Pickups Vs. Seymour Duncan Invaders

I know we have some members with old and new versions of Syn's guitar, so they can weigh in. I have a set of Syn's in an Ibanez. Very high-output and very clear and articulate, but they do seem to pump out a lot of low and low-mid frequencies compared to the other pickups in my stable.
