    Tell me what you think.

Lots of really nice playing here and a great tone. If there's anything to work on, it's mostly tightening up your transitions from lead back to rhythm. It's easier to get away with in a two-guitar band, but if you're the sole guitar player, that dead air's a killer. Also, to carry on Jak's...

    DSL40c problems

Radu hitting fast and hard with it, and it's exactly what I would have said. Some dirt or dust in the volume pot. With the amp off, hit it with some canned air, and maybe pull the knob off, spray some contact cleaner into the barrel, and then twist the knob all the way up and down several times...

    Blocking a floyd rose

If you just mean to go from E standard to Drop D, the EVH D-Tuna is your jam.

What are you currently listening to?

Volbeat is great live. One of the things they like to do is call all the young kids (think 12 and under) up to the stage for one song. They give them time to get up there. And then they play one song with the kids up there, so the kids can really FEEL what it's like to be onstage during a metal...

On CNN yesterday, talking about the "ring of fire" eclipse seen in the early morning hours yesterday, Neil deGrasse Tyson referred to it as "a cosmic ballet choreographed by the forces of gravity." Sound familiar? (as seen on the Colbert Late show replay)

    Guitar amp question.

This will probably serve you a LOT better, and it's cheaper: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/KataMini--boss-katana-mini-7-watt-combo-amp The Fender will probably require a distortion pedal to do anything like most folks here want to do.

COOL! That wasn't there yesterday when I looked!

What are you currently listening to?

There's no video, but official audio is on streaming platforms. Matt Heafy from Trivium did a super-mega-thrash version of Richard Marx's "Right Here Waiting," the 80s power ballad. Marx volunteered to sing it, so it's a duet. I can't take it seriously, but it fucking rules.

Thrawn was such a great character. Glad they're porting him over to Canon from the EU. Can't wait to see what they do with him. Also looking forward to Ahsoka. Rosario Dawson - what a match made in heaven there!

My mom let my oldest nephew play with all my Star Wars toys in the mid-90s, and he destroyed everything. Broke my heart.

Why does Marilyn Manson dislike A7X??

While that's true, his former manager and many others have supported the ten year old claims, and most sexual violence never sees the inside of a courtroom because the victims don't want to re-live the details publicly or face having every detail of their lives put on public view by defense...

I've thoroughly enjoyed Battlefront I and II. II had the only single player campaign, which was enjoyable, and more overall options and possibilities, but I really miss some of the maps from I, and it's all but dead on PC - you can't find matches at all. Fallen Order was brilliant. I loved...

I used to absorb set details and casting choices and this and that for properties that interested me. I've stopped doing that, and just enjoying it all. Luke at the end of the Mandalorian S02 was a complete surprise and I loved it.

I remember when Empire came out. There really weren't spoilers, because we all HAD TO SEE IT opening weekend. We'd waited three years. It was the absolute BOMBSHELL. Literally NO ONE saw that coming (mostly because George pulled it out of his ass at some point during shooting), and on the school...

Syn! Any Tips on Whammy Sounds?

Not sure about in Studio One. I just moved to that myself from Reaper, and I haven't played with it yet. A whammy pedal would get you close, but nothing dive bombs like a Floyd Rose tremolo.

    Playing with rhythm

Assuming there's drums in the recording, listen and tap along to the drums. If the3 song is in 4/4 time, it's easy - typical drumbeat has kick drum on 1 and snare on 3 - that's a basic beat - with hi-hat or ride cymbal keeping the whole 1-2-3-4 or 1-and-2-and-3-and-4-and... Once you read and...
