    Firstly good luck bro! There is no sharp or flat in C so first note is C. G has 1 sharp(F) . D has 2 sharp(F and C) etc. According to this we got formula! There are distance between 5 notes.

    I have not a similar issue but I can help you! We can have bad habits and way to overcome this practice with "traditional way" Use metronome and start slowly always!

    Can you get away with using a bm7b5 arpeggio over a dominant 7 chord

    Open your recorder or DAW and just record it! First play B7 Chords several times and record it then play Bm7b5 arpeggio over it! Here is an example!
