Thank you Ari! It's been a bitter sweet torture so far, you know 🙃, but I've made a point to get it clean and perfect, no matter how long it takes:spinning-guitar:
Stubborn is my last name 😝
Haven't been around lately, I'm sorry...but I'm back now.
I thought it was a good idea to track my progress on this solo. I'm taking it as a long term project because it's soooo fast that is hard for me to follow, and I need to work on my technique separately, otherwise I get stuck like at 80%...
Sorry to hear you are going through so much Ro. Sometimes we have to face really tough moments in life and this year has been specially heartbreaking for you. You've been very brave to share and I see a fighter in you.
You are very special and deserve all the best. You have your friends here...
Ask yourself some questions to begin with and figure out where you are right now: Which are your goals on guitar now? Do you want to learn theory or improve your technique? Just play for fun?
If it's theory what you want to learn, go to the beginners lessons. In my case, I've been playing for 3...
I just read this African proverb...
"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together",
...and instantly thought of the school and this lovely community of students helping each other.
Rock on!! :rock-hand:
A lot of wise words have been already said here.
I would just add that feeling stuck at some point is a normal part of any learning process and guitar is a life long learning.
Take the advice of slowing down and let your positive emotions get connected to your playing, play something you love...
I've been playing for 3 years. Started learning songs for fun and just recently taking music theory, because I was a little tired of memorizing a bunch of songs and forgetting ...now I want to know what's going on in the song I'm playing. Also I'm thanks to the school I'm starting to take care...
Here’s my entry to the pedal contest. Some beginner stuff here, I would name it “Nothing fancy”.
Since one of my goals is feeling the fretboard, memorizing it from top to bottom, I’m exploring the arps and triads. So here I’m basing on lesson 50, where Syn says “you need to memorize the sound...
Felt like some practice on the old Spanish guitar. I wanted to learn this song since I started learning guitar but always postponed because it's freaking fast for me. Paco de Lucía was a true virtuous, he could shred on Spanish guitar.
Thank you!! I really appreciate it!! I've been struggling a lot to improve on my bendings and vibrato since I started playing solos and now I'm beginning to see some results :)
Thank you so much guys, your feedback is always been sooo helpful!! Love you!! ❤️
I can say I’m beginning to feel the fretboard somehow, I can’t really explain it in words, but the way I play feels totally different. And I love practicing songs like this one that are so expressive and really get...
I posted this song here 6 months ago. I decided to try back again to track my progress since then. Thanks to the feedback I’ve been getting on my videos from friends like @Ids Schiere , @Ed Seith , @Dominik Gräber , and others I’ve been working on bends and vibrato and compared with 6 months...
Take it easy is all I can say.
Been playing for 3 years now and really started trying solos a few months ago. I've learned something important and it is that both hands need to be perfectly well synchronized...the fingers of the fretting hand need to feel loose and ready for some stretches, and...
