Does anybody have any tips to help me memorize the fretboard? Please Help!!!

I started the CAGED lessons some weeks ago and it's making a lot of sense, it's a great tool to work on the knowledge of the fretboard, connecting chords, arpeggios and scale positions. Just love it. But my problem I think is exactly what you say about thinking of it in terms of shapes and...

Does anybody have any tips to help me memorize the fretboard? Please Help!!!

Hey 👋, I feel so jealous when I see guitarists improvising, finding the right chords that work with the scales they're using, knowing the notes on the fretboard!! That's why I decided to set this new goal and made a point of learning the fretboard, which I've been actually postponing since I...

    Online lessons from a teacher

I would recommend you to try. I got an online teacher too and my experience is really good. It’s not like Skype lessons. In my case, I send videos of me playing and he answers my questions and gives me his feedback on another video. Totally 1:1 attention and at my own pace. He is basically...

    Feeling limited

I took an online teacher too and it's working fine with me. I subscribed his course, which is cool for beginners, just the basics to start playing, and it's totally at my own pace. I send my questions or videos to him when I can and he gives me his feedback. Also, he posts a lot of his tutorials...

Learning is connected to emotion. Thanks neuroscience for explaining that this eagerness I feel to learn music theory when I’m already 47 is not some kind of mental disorder. My brain is just seeking endorphins 🤪🧠

Bending strings is one of my weaknesses too. I can pretty much reach the right note when I do exercises but when I'm trying a solo it's way more difficult for me..but I keep on trying  Great job! Keep it up!
