I don't think it is there best album either, but there are still some great songs on it though. How about 'The Best Ones Lie?' I'm talking about the rock world, and success, something the majority of thrash bands had little of, bar the big four. Of course popularity is not a constant with quality, if that was the case then Dokken would have been more successful than Bon Jovi. Plus, thrash is pretty generic, chromatics...- Edward John

The media talked about their antics, that shouldn't be the basis for how good the music is. You only probably think they commercialized NWOBHM because you have only ever heard those singles, if you put on a Dokken album then you will find that they have all types of songs, not just commercial...- Edward John

Put on Beast from the East by Dokken and you will understand. Have not heard of any of those bands, neither has the mainstream either. George Lynch can destroy any thrash shredder with a few notes. Interesting points though. Never would have thought about that.- Edward John

To be fair, those albums aren't really that heavy when compared to The Sickness, that is pure nu metal. I don't think they could write songs that heavy now even if they tried.- Edward John
