Hello guys and dolls! As I was working on lesson 25 last night, I attempted to improv utilizing the scales and positions and little tricks I learned. But still, it seemed so flat and lifeless to me. And then an idea light went off. I…don’t…know…licks…for…crap!
I don’t!
So I thought maybe it would be fun for us to come together and start with perhaps lesson 24, and each student who’s willing to participate, uploads a LICK they either learned or created utilizing that lesson’s scales, and they teach it to us or simply demonstrate it up to speed and then slowly with the backing track (only because I know some people are camera talk shy )
The idea also spawned from me watching some of the players on the riff’s section, and DAMN. Even the beginners do things I never would have thought of! Then we can upload our own videos utilizing that riff we learned with the backing track from that lesson. Does that make sense? Sure we could all get on youtube and learn licks there, but there are some really creative things I’ve seen coming from people here that I would like to learn.
