Afterlife Solo

Hey guys, I’ve recently made a cover of Afterlife. I tried to stay as close as possible to the way Syn plays it on the studio recording (the ending runs are how he plays it live). I found the legato bit the most challenging thing about it and also the economy picking pentatonics. Sweet Jesus.. Well done. The closest I can come to criticism, and it’s entirely because I’m jealous , is to suggest you try and add some inflection (vibrato) to the notes you briefly hold during the part that starts at :18.
Otherwise, it’s time to turn my guitars into coffee tables. Thanks for sharing!

OK, so, there is so much wrong in this cover, I don’t know where to begin with.
First, you can’t see the entire “Avenged Sevenfold” text on your Tshirt.
Second, the closet color doesn’t match the chair’s.
I mean, basics.

Thanks man I appreciate that! I know vibrato is something I need to work on it is quite tricky to do it in a fast solo like that

Oh, believe me, I know, and like I said, I was nitpicking there. You hit some nice vibrato in other parts of the solo, so it’s just a matter of adding the spice you already have!

Eventually those vibratos will be second nature and you’ll be able to do them anywhere you want. Anytime you want.

Robert you should be able to slow his video down and figure it out yourself if you got the time. Just look where he puts his fingers.

Like Ed said just add that vibrato in between every alternate picking/sweep arpeggio he does and you’ll be good! I gotta say that’s probably one of the best covers for that solo I’ve seen in a while! Rock on dude
