Amp to ipad

I was wondering if there is a way to run an aux cord or something from my guitar amp to my iPad and record the things I’m playing for the collab using that method. My amp has an aux import and a headphone import. I’ve seen people record the sound directly into the iPad and I want to do that. (Since the recording quality on my iPad 2 is bad). Has anybody done this before, and is it even possible?

It’s possible, but if you go through the headphone jack you won’t here yourself through the amp.

Im not sure about doing it with an aux cable. Line in from amp could work thoigh. Also there is a way to connect your guitar directly to your Ipad. You will need a version of positive grid bias though(of which there is a free version in appstore)

You can get an Irig, which is a plug that you can plug one end in the headphone jack and the other end has a plug in for your guitar cable.
