Bat country was the first avenged solo I tried to learn long ago but I couldn’t get the fast part right. I assume it’s played in parts of 6 six notes where the first one is 10-11-12-13-12-11 but my hands don’t feel like they’re synced so some notes get half muted. Is there any good training to get better at that style?

It depends on which part of the solo it is. There is definetely some chromatic stuff in there. For chromatic stuff probably start slow and alternate pick it with a metronome get comfortable at that speed and go faster once you comfortable.

@calvin sextuplets can get the same feel as triplets. It’s just two groups of triplets, essentially. Depends on where the accent is. As far as helping with chromatics and that crazy part, I personally feel that laziness of the fretting hand pinky is a BIG culprit about syncing of the hands. If you’re having issues with synchronizing the hands, you’re playing it too fast. Make sure you’re not compromising speed for strength of your picking hand. For example, make sure you’re not trying to move your fretting hand faster than what it really can go, thus not pressing the strings hard enough and getting a sloppy “dunk” sound. Sometimes the hands ARE in sync, it’s just the fretting hand is moving too fast for the accuracy and strength needed for the notes to be sounded clearly.
