Was hoping for some tips on a good beginner electric guitar would be as I’m just starting. I’m from Scotland and only 16 so don’t have a ton to spend so anything fairly cheap but strong would be helpful so I can start shredding!
Try to look at used guitars in your local guitar store. You may find a great quality guitar for a bargain.
You can start here. Some of them are really expensive but some of them are also cheaper. You can also look at Epiphone an Squirt guitars but I’m not the biggest fan of those.

Hey there! I would strongly recommend the Ibanez GIO series. Ibanez makes pretty decent guitars that are ridiculously affordable. A lot of beginners choose Ibanez from what I have seen. They’re only about a $150 and they get really good reviews
squirt hahaha
Jak is right! I started on an Ibanez gio and they are really good beginner guitars. Only the pickups were not too good at mine, but for starting out this is perfectly fine.
Schecter and epiphone both also make great affordable stuff, although this might already go higher than 200
I’m dying rn . I got my first and only electric almost two years ago and I’m 18. I got an epiphone les Paul. One of the stupid cheap ones and it’s okay, but it is almost ALWAYS out of tune. I would go with Schecter or Ibanez instead of epiphone unless you get one of the more expensive models. I haven’t played Ibanez but I’m sure it’s just as good as Schecter. And they both make cheaper, good quality beginner electrics.
If you can´t find local guitars then check out thomann online, they have tons upon tons of beginner guitars and cheap guitar sets (guitar, amp, picks, strap, etc) In terms of brands I agree with everyone else, Schecter or Ibanez
