put a batter under your bridge. It’s about the same height.. a big square (D battery?) when you’re done simply raise the bar pull the battery out, and the springs will adjust to whereever you had them last.
Try to have something between the body and the floating bridge to keep it steady. Also try to stretch the strings as much as possible before you play it otherwise the tuningstability will be horrible.

For your first time, just be patient and gentle. The video listed above was the one I watched and it was very helpful. Once you get the hang of it you can do it in like ten minutes, but for a first-timer it will take a lot longer. Just be gentle with the saddles to make sure they don’t pop out.
