i wanna write a similar solo to this. But i need to know some of the chords/ scales/ arpeggios he’s using. I’ve figured out he plays in A Minor, and maybe phrygian. though i can of course be wrong. Anyone wanna help me figure out some stuff in that solo? doesn’t have to be 100%
In the beginning it sounds pretty blues inspired towards the end more gypsy jazz. So harmonics minor will do the job for the end. For the blues part it probably is some kind of I-IV-V
They are the way to notate harmony. In this case the I chord, IV chord and V chord. Don’t bite my ass on that btw. I was taking a shit when I wrote that reply but I-IV-V is a common blues progression so during the bluesy part it is a good guess.
Sounds like Stevie Ray Vaughn a little bit, the bluesy stuff anyway. IDK If you’re familiar with him but if you’re not, definitely check him out. As for the jazz stuff at the end, good luck. Way over my head.
