@john, that’s not how it should work. If everyone plays it in the background, the multitrack bit on the site will be a mess – six guitar players, six slightly out of sync versions of the backing track. You have to upload the backing track as one stereo track, and everyone plays along to it in the app.

@Ed Ok I never used Bandhub before, I got the idea from someone else so I’ll look in to it or if you can upload it that works too. Sorry if its kind of a mess in my organization but this is a first for me. Thanks 🙂 Ill see what I can do

Backing track is uploaded. John, listen back for quality – I can’t check it to make sure it’s good until you approve, as the project owner.
In the future, whoever does a backing track should upload the tracks separately (drums, bass, rhythm guitars, etc) so they can be mixed on the fly in the app when the solos and stuff are recorded. I have a feeling the guitars are a bit too hot in this mix once you add in the leads, but hey – it’s a learning experience, right?

Use your ears, you’ll get better. Mix at lower volumes (at high volumes, you’re head tends to subconsciously equalize levels) pay attention to how much you can hear different things. For me, how much the snare cuts through the mix is an indicator of how well the guitars are mixed – if the snare is not crystal clear at all times, something else is too loud. YMMV. Panning is important, too – where things are in the stereo field. Generally, bassy things belong mostly centered and trebly things panned wider left and right. The reason is that bass frequencies are omnidirectional – they go everywhere. That’s why you can put a sub anywhere, but tweeter placement is critical.
Like all things musical, it’s practice, practice, practice.
