The first band that exposed me to black metal back when I was a kid. Was scared shitless when I watched one of their videos around the age of 10. But now black metal is my favorite sub-genre and Dimmu Borgir donβt seem that scary to me anymore haha.
Iβm on the fence about it. At parts it sounds too cheesy and like a Disney version of black metal, but some songs are really good. Itβs a better album than the previous one though.
honestly? I know maybe 5 dimmu songs, and I love them all. Just never took the time or effort to listen to more. My friend told me to expand more.. maybe I will. Thereβs A TON of bands I used to listen to a song or two by, but never really had the patience to look more into. Iβm regretting alot of those decisions as I go back and listen to them again.. like Dead and Divine.. what a fun band.
