Do you think Avenged popularised the topic of simulation in music?

It seems like more and more bands are making albums about the simulation, Muse just released “Simulation Theory” and now Born of Osiris announced “The Simulation” and there will probably be more albums about that in the future.

It’s an interesting thought, but i personally think that it traces further back and with the stage album they just focusing on the bigger questions of existence which i think is nice, but i don’t think that it is directly from avenged that other bands have taken the inspiration..i could be wrong but this is just a personal opinion

Yeah you could be right, it might be because that topic is becoming more and more popular and people are talking about it. Who knows, maybe in the future people discover some evidence that this is the actual simulation and a7x will be like: “See, told you!”

I feel Like through the concept of the Stage this Album was less “accessible” to a wider crowd than Other a7x releases. So I don’t think this topic is becoming more relevant through a7x either. It’s Just a modern question to ask and a fresh topic to write about

Though many discussed it before him (Ray Kurzweil comes to mind), Elon Musk’s ideas on the subject sparked a lot of interest. He’s got a broader reach than A7X, and probably influenced Matt and the boys to get into it a little more, if they weren’t already.

@Ed yeah Elon Musk for sure. I haven’t heard of Ray before but I’ll definitelly check him out.
